Heinrich Haussler’s Cervelo S2

Taking second at Flanders to Devolder is no mean feat and Haussler chose to use Cervelo’s aero S2 but for the tougher Roubaix cobbles an RS is the chosen weapon.

With all sponsored Zipp teams taking the leap to using the new tougher Roubaix special 303, Haussler has followed suite in a bid to keeping his S2 as aero as possible fitted with Vittoria Pave 24mm tyres for improved grip and the larger volume improves comfort.

Swapping to stiffer cranks with FSA K-Force Light’s for the classics over the teams sponsored Rotor Agilis, Haussler is also using standard rings rather than Rotor Q-rings.

Ceramic bearings have been a key component in the peloton for a while so it’s no surprise to see an FSA ceramic BB fitted. A Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 groupset wraps up the remainder of the bike with the exception of 7800 series calipers. Nokon cables help to give tighter lines with the S2’s cable routing, entering the frame just behind the head tube.

The newly revitalised 3T supplies the Cervélo Test Team and Haussler uses its Team components. Unlike most Classics riders Haussler has chosen to use carbon bars, something you won’t see on many other sprinters’ or Classics stars’ bikes.
