EASTON EC90 AERO BAR

A revision of the EC90 SLX3, the Aero handlebar does not replace the SLX3 but adds to Easton’s top-end component line-up.

The bars are manufactured from Easton CNT composite, which features Carbon Nanotubes incorporated into the resin matrix.

This process enables a higher strength-to-density ratio than a regular carbon lay-up, and allows the bars to be made lighter while maintaining the same strength. Easton’s TaperWall technology has enabled the bars to weigh in at 225g.

Most striking on the Aero are the finger grips across the flattened aero top and drops; these regulate the position that your hands can sit on the bar at these points.

Easton’s anatomic ergo drop has been incorporated into the design, offering a 75mm reach and 130mm drop.

Fine-tuning of the bar’s angles has meant that the bar is compatible with all three groups, Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo, providing a smooth transition to the hoods. A painted red protective finish protects the carbon from any adhesives used in the bar tape and there’s a matt carbon exposed central section.

Available in 40, 42, 44, 46cm (centre to centre), priced at £199.99.
