Leading cycling clotheswear and accessory makers Rapha have unveiled their Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

Drawing on the success of previous offerings from the renowned brand, it is divided into four categories: Training and Racing, City Riding, Lifestyle and, for the first time, a capsule women's line.

Rapha CEO Simon Mottram commented: "We had so many requests from women who love Rapha clothing and wanted the same."

The women-specific versions of the classic Rapha kit comes in red and black, the Stowaway jacket in red and cream. No different to the rest of the Rapha oeuvre, the female line blends winning looks with top-notch materials and design.

"We realised early on that the women's range should be an extension of the men's one and we've avoided girly colours and floral prints," Mottram added.

Training and Racing range
In the popular training and racing range, Rapha have also refined the high-quality designs and patterns in their stable.

The Lightweight Jersey comes in pale blue, while the Country jerseys are now full-zip.

There are also grey and pink offerings of the Stowaway jacket. The well-liked Rapha T-shirts, jerseys and caps are available as usual.

City riding range
Drawing on the work of their recent ranges, Rapha have improved their collection of clothing for those who want a garment that'll look sharp at work, as well as giving them breathability, comfort and a bit of speed on the bicycle.

There's new fast-wicking short and long-sleeved shirts and Merino boxers. The limited edition Transit Elite, made of Nepalese cashmere, is also being introduced for 2010.

Lifestyle offerings
For Rapha, cycling isn't just a sport; it's a passion, a way of life. Accordingly, there's a range of other goodies for everything from music and travel to skincare.

An album of music inspired by the sport's iconic races will be released in the summer.

Meanwhile, a Rapha range of chamois cream and embrocation hits the shops in July; a revamped luggage range is expected in September.
