Perhaps the most beautiful velodrome in the world, probably the most energy efficient, definitely the iconic venue of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Lee Valley’s Velopark is a shiny example of that honourable but difficult aim of ‘legacy’.

Ron Webb’s final track before retirement is actually modelled on the track at newport, although as he says in this interview, all tracks are a little different.

A must visit venue for cycling fans and one that will bring major international cycling competitions to London’s east end for many years. The next will be a world cup in the winter of 2014/2015 before the World Championships come here in 2016.
