Pedalforce carbon frames
      #26770 - 11/07/2008 23:10

Anyone know anything about these? $600 for a sub 1kg carbon frame and I cannot find anything bad about them online. Only problem would be having to import from the States, but reports suggest about £80.

Be careful, don't get hooked on frame weights, problem is unless you fit top end components at huge cost the weight saving will be lost. It is better to have a stiff strong frame thats 200g heavier and spend money on the moving bits e.g good wheels, chainset after all they move much more than the frame! You can get a scandium frame (1050g) for £246.50 or an lightweight alloy (950g) for £301.75 from Ribble. LPR brakes team still use scandium, it's good stuff!
I don't know about the frames you looked at but it's a lot extra to save a few grams and I think there will be more of a hassle free guarantee from a UK shop!
