In mid October I have been informed that I "WILL" be going on a family holiday for a week to Centre Parcs Prison near Penrith with In-laws,wife and her aunties, uncles and kids everywhere..oh joy. After much (heated) discussions I am allowed to take my good bike and can escape for a couple of days around the Lake District but must return each night before dark.

I need suggestions, route maps or if anyone is local to the area and wants to show the best roads let me know. A couple of 100 mile trips is ideal and a couple of 50s as well just in case extre leave is granted! HELP!!!!
