UT makes a lot of sense. I have had a bit of trouble trying to source a square taper BB recently, plenty of Italian threaded ones about but the more popular English threads are becoming a problem to find, and that is likely to get worse with time.

UT is lighter and supposidly stiffer, though I have never felt a square tape one bend when I push on it. It is worth getting the BB shell faced before fitting a UT as any mis-alignment will cause rapid bearing wear.
