There is an advert in one of the cycling mags for a bar/cake that replaces your entire breakfast - looked disgusting! Didnt really see the point, as you still have to wait to digest it, so you may as well have proper food! For early rides over 1 hour I will always force down some porridge and get started on an energy drink. Sometimes takes a while to get up to speed, but better than feeling hungry whilst you're out, and risking the dreaded bonk. Short rides I dont always bother, just eat when I arrive at my destination. |
