I started training one month ago, and have managed to build up to riding for 2-3 hours straight. I'm 15 and have grown up around cycling so I feel like I should know this but what food is best to take with me when i'm out on rides that long? At the moment I take a couple of 'go ready' bars with me but then i've got other people telling me to take gels out. Which is best? and what kind of foods should I be eating to keep up my energy when i'm off the bike? As since i've started training i'm either ALWAYS hungry or have absolutely no energy left. Also, i'm going out everyday and I know my Dad used to take one day off a week but I love just being on my bike and haven't had a single day off it since July - is that a good thing to do or should I do the same as my Dad and take a day off? I'd be grateful for any help or advice you give - and sorry if i'm asking dumb or naiive questions
