hi all im about to embark on the beginners training plan, i currently commute to work on a very irregular basis, if the weather is good, when i can be arsed etc, its a journey of about 12 miles through town and open roads and it takes me about 40 mins dependant on wind! i intend to do some evening rides and weekend rides to aid my training in line with the plan as much as poss and hopefully through the summer i will be at a standard where i can do some good distance in a resonable time with some level of enjoyment! i have done some riding before but i can never seem to gain any momentum to keep training for longer than a month or so. i hope there are some like minded people out there who will blog there training triumphs and tribulations on here to help keep me motivated. heres to a season of successfull riding!

I so much in common with the OP.
I have a commute of 15 miles each way and I can do it the odd day but not every day.
I have tried to stick to these type of training plans in the past but always failed.
Good luck to you and i hope you/we can stick to it this time...
