After a thread went wierd as so often happens here Cattlegridconspiracy went on a search for a jersey with more kangaroos than than the team south australia one...and failed! Bringing forward the idea of making his own, it quickly evolved into a forum jersey, I added the logo taken from a couple of other members "C.W Forum..no one knows if your a penguin! I know it's a bit daft but I would wear one, any others out there or any other ideas, sponsors, suppliers, manufacturers etc. We might just be on to something...or not!! Discuss!

The penquin one's great, cos it's in the official CW forum colours - red and pale gold!
Don't forget a women's specific option too!

sorry bfergie, didn' actually think of that. you're more than welcome to create a penguin with "little penguin lady bumps" and i'll put that in but my patience with paint is very, very low! (the white bits are supposed to be red, they just didn't turn red with the colour filler)
COME ON PEOPLE MORE RESPONSES PLEASE!

I think I agree with Bigold, but if everyone starts wearing one then I might have to go along.

we seem to be going dwn the track of gettingplain jerseys with swe-on ptches sold seperately. No
we'll have to decided on a single animal, i think penguins are the winners so far, still waiting for SCM's take on it. it is after all taken from his style....

wuverley - you agree with me? In jubilant rejoice i have just opened a beer to mark the occasion.
Mmmmmmm what could be done to make it more wearable? Well for comedy value i always enjoy the 'mario' style outfits such as his lion / zebra/human body/caesar efforts. How about one coloured exactly like a penguin or some other equally rediculous yet perfectly adapted animal?
Id definately wear a full captain caveman outfit for example or perhaps the shmew?

Should we make the penguin jersey (or some variant of it) the official CW Forum jersey?

Has anyone got any experience of getting jerseys made, I see GB cycles have their own kit, also a few small sponsors to keep the costs down would be good, maybe our predictions sponsor again or someone else who advertises on the forum already. It would be nice if the comic would help too seeing as the jersey would have Cycling Weekly written on the front! Any official, important and kind people reading this??

If you're seriously serious about this I suspect you'll need to find out if using the Linux penguin is problematic, in terms of copyright/trademark - although their software is open source I'm not altogether convinced their logo is...

Yes, any 'original' artwork should be OK.
It may not be an issue on the scale of use we're talking here, but you know what American lawyers can be like when it comes to litigation.
