The team doctor talks about numerous cuts and bruises, plus a fractured humerus.

Although bad, it could have been a lot worse that was a 6 meter drop on to the road below. All the best Oscar.

I was going to, having read the thread title - but I'm happy for you to have beat me to it.

If only he had injured his coccyx. We could have had even more Two Ronnies type hilarity.

So was I. He was having a good Tour, which could have been better if he didn't have to work for Valverde.

One of my favourite riders and I was really hoping he would do well this week. I felt sick at the time but that you-tube film makes it even worse. Says on Gazzetta site he's out for the rest of the season. Come back soon, Oscar!

Such a classy and under-rated rider!! He looked so strong this year!! And one of the very few guys who looks half-decent in yellow. What a pity he never got to wear it on the Champs Elysees....
Wasn't he the rider who hurtled down a mountain slope with a marmite sandwich in his mouth a few years ago during the Tour??? He was a darned sight luckier that time!

I agree with BFergie, I was hoping he'd manage a coup d'etat to overthrow Valverde. Oh well, that's life.
