The last time I read anything by Lionel Birnie was in the Sunday Times last weekend! I really enjoyed his tour commentary last year, and indeed every Tuesday, where is he this year? Having Cognacs with Cassoulet for a chaser?

Lionel is stuck in a communications black hole somewhere in France. Rest assured, he has about four million words backed up on his laptop which will be unleashed sometime soon.
He's also been a bit busy writing for Cycling Weekly and Cycle Sport.
I wouldn't dare comment on his intake of Cognac or Cassoulet, though...

I saw he was staying in a Best Western Hotel. Tell him to be careful in the shower and don't fall out like I did!

Ranger,
The Cycle Sport Tour Review edition comes out next Wednesday. We're just putting the final touches to it.

I hope it's not one of those WH Smith specials. Cos I'm not traipsing into town for that. Once a year's enough for me!
