Just wondering what everyone spends on their food bills per month.
We have 2 adults 2 teenage boys and a 9 year old and spend about £600 per month on food alone.
I'm just wondering if thats a lot or not??

Does sound quite high, we have 2 adults and three kids all under 5 and we must be around £400ish.

2 adults and 2 in nappies and we can do it on £270-300 per month. That includes cleaning stuff, general household stuff etc but I am well practiced at being tight! Nothing on alcohol, nothing on heating, the rest on bike stuff as it should be.

The drink thing is to do with tastebuds, I can't suffer sweet, salty, spicey, hot or strong flavours, a bit like a two year old so any alcohol just tastes rank, as is tea and coffee. Food has to be bland and dry(no sauces) I cut trees for a living and burn logs to heat house so that's why heating is free. I hope you didn't think I sat all winter in a big coat indoors, I'm not that mad!

Hubby - Get your coat on darlin, I'm off to the pub. Wife - Great, are you askin me oot? Hubby - No, I'm putting the heatin aff on my way oot!

I'm here all week

tescos online shop for 2 adults and 2 under 5's is about £60 / week. There are a few minor shops on top of this though. This includes a box of wine a week. I suspect teenage boys would probably add significantly to the bill. Females seem to stop eating after about 7. My niece lives on bread and water, and girls at work are all on weighwatchers and would rather starve than do any exercise.
The above does NOT include my energy drinks and gels.

In that amount i've included ALL food related things, inc beer, plus household items like soap, shampoo, other cleaning products. Maybe i misrepresented it by the title.
I should have put Household expences.
