Why, oh why, cannot British Cycling, LOCOG, IOC and the Borough Councils not have the wit to provide roadside temporary toilets for the Olympic road races? There was plenty of ground area in Richmond Park and elswhere to put up a screened area or portaloos instead of seeing 50 riders peeing into the hedge along a main road lined on the other side by spectators. What will happen on Sunday in the womens road race? I do not want to think about it! Exactly the same toilet activity took place in Beijing 4 years ago. Isn't urinating in a public place and in full view of the public, an offence of indeceny any more? Come on Britain, get modern and provide decent facilities for fully televised world class road races and show the world how it can be done.

I HATE THE BBC!! I can't believe they're not showing this great opening event of the Olympics - am sitting here in silence reading your updates... keep 'em coming!
