THIS is a great time to be a British bike race fan, if you're not, it's probably worth taking the year off.

Team Sky dominate just about every stage race that includes a climb and unfortunately for the opposition things are going to get a lot worse. Sky already owns the bunch and Bradley Wiggins has yet to turn a pedal in anger.

The Tour de France winner stretched his legs in the Tour of Oman where he played a supporting role, helping Chris Froome to overall victory. Now Sir Bradley trains in the rarefied air of Mount Teide in Tenerife to prepare for the Giro d'Italia while his understudies get to play team leader in Paris-Nice and to help Froome in Tirreno-Adriatico. I've never seen such strength in depth, two GC teams in action simultaneously, both the best in their respective races.

There's no B squad at Sky, it's double A and in a couple of months time the team will be merged to back Wiggins in his quest for Giro glory.

And let's not forget that Sky also have ambition for single day success, including Milan-San Remo on Sunday. Geraint Thomas has already place fourth in Het Nieuwsblad and is now a favourite for the Tour of Flanders at Easter and Paris-Roubaix the following weekend.
