British Cycling performance manager Shane Sutton was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
Sutton was recognised for his key role in the success of the Great Britain cycling squad since joining them in 2002, where he has acted as coach and mentor to a succession of British cyclists.
