Kirkcaldy confirmed as Tour Series opener
Kirkcaldy will once again host the opening round of the Tour Series, it was announced today.
The former royal burgh made its series debut last May, as 2,500 visitors to the town witnessed the first of Endura Racing's seven victories en route to taking the overall title.
Britain's top 10 domestic teams will head back to the Lang Toun on May 14 to kick off the five-week-long series for 2013.
Tour Series Race Director Mick Bennett said: "We look forward to returning to Fife and building upon the impact of the event from year one. This year's Series looks to be our most competitive yet, so Scottish cycling fans should mark Tuesday 14 May in their diaries now!"
Youth and junior races are also scheduled to take place prior to the elite event.
Scott Thwaites took the individual glory in Kirkcaldy last May.
