Highly-rated British brothers Adam and Simon Yates will turn professional with Orica-GreenEdge for 2014.

Simon, the reigning world points race champion, won the Tour of Britain’s first-ever summit finish on Haytor, while his brother impressively finished second in the Tour de l’Avenir

The 21-year-olds were previously linked with moves elsewhere; having been part of British Cycling’s Olympic Programme for three years, Team Sky appeared to be the likely destination for Simon, while Adam had a trial with FDJ with a view to signing for them in 2015.

However, Sky’s reported reluctance to sign neo-pros, along with an offer from Orica to sign both the twins, has resulted them signing for the Australian outfit.
