Barry Hoban's book signing Tour of Yorkshire

The Tour de France will visit Yorkshire again this week, when eight-time Tour stage winner Barry Hoban does two talks and book signings in his native county.

The first will be at the Specialized Concept Store, Unit 1, 8 West Parade in Harrogate HG1 1BL. Barry will be there between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 17. He’ll talk about his new autobiography Vas-y Barry, which is normally £16.95 but will be available to buy at a discounted £15.

The second talk and book signing will be on Thursday, November 19, from 5pm until 8pm at Woodrup Cycles, 345-347 Kirkstall Road, Leeds LS4 2HD.

Woodrup and Hoban go back many years and the company built frames for him when he was a pro rider.

Hoban has done similar events this year in Newport, Norwich and Chester, and they all proved a great success.

He is also a veteran of many talks, the last being at the Rapha Club in Manchester in an event promoted jointly by Rapha and Cycling Weekly.

His recall of events from 16 years as a professional racer in Europe has astounded audiences throughout the country, a career that saw him race against three of the five-time Tour de France winners; Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx and Bernard Hinault.
