BBC presenter Gabby Logan travels home ill
If you're wondering what's happened to the BBC television presenter Gabby Logan, she had to travel home from World Track Championships in Poland after becoming unwell.
A BBC insider said: "Gabby's been suffering with a virus since the start of the week. I'm amazed at how well she's coped considering how poorly she has been. She's been told by the doctor to take a complete rest for five days. With her Inside Sport programme due to start in a week, we had no choice."
Mrs Logan was fronting the BBC's coverage in the absence of regular cycling presenter Jill Douglas, who is expecting a baby.
Simon Brotherton, who has been covering the championships for BBC Radio Five Live, will step in to present Saturday's coverage. John Inverdale, who viewers will recognise as the anchor man for the BBC's rugby Six Nations coverage, is set to fly out to present Sunday's final day.
Olympic pursuit champion Rebecca Romero returns to the BBC team too. She was in Pruszkow at the start of the championships but flew home to collect her MBE.
