BOOST FOR EALING CYCLING
With the help of Dr. Robert Davis, the London borough of Ealing?s cycling officer, Ealing?s cycling initiative, ?Marketing Cycling? launched ?Marketing Cycling 3? at Ealing Town Hall on June 8.
The successful scheme which won the integrated cycling initiative London cycling awards 2004 and the National cycling project award last year, aims to increase the share of journeys by bike by 80% by 2010.
In order to do this the marketing cycling 3 team of enthusiastic, thoroughly qualified trainers and mechanics will carry on providing the public with on-road cycle training for both children and adults, advice on secure cycle parking, a programme of cycle maintenance workshops and classes, face to face advice on routes, bike shops and other local information as well as intensive support with cycling to work and workplace and community Dr.Bike cycle health checks.
Jenny Jones MLA, the Mayor of London?s Sustainable Transport Advisor praised the work in ?Marketing Cycling 3? saying: ?The scheme is an excellent one, successful because of all its hard work, so a massive congratulations.?
