Sir Bradley Wiggins will feature in a special episode of 70s comedy Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, to be aired on Sport Relief night on March 18

Comic actor Michael Crawford will reprise his role as Frank Spencer for a special edition of Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, with the clumsy character set for an encounter with Sir Bradley Wiggins.

The special episode, in aid of Sport Relief, will feature reportedly Spencer meeting Wiggins at the London Velodrome, where undoubtedly some kind of mayhem will ensue.

Wiggins told the BBC: “I am a huge fan of Michael so it’s an absolute honour to be asked to be involved alongside such an icon of British television… and all for a great cause.”

He does have the 24-hour record – for being a mod.

Lol, yeah. But someone had just asked would I do a 24 hour race with them so I had “24 hour” on my mind. That and “hell no”.

The bloke loves his cycling, knows its history, won the TDF, Paris-Nice, the Dauphine etc, has the 24 hour record, and how many world championship and olympic gold medals? In short, he’s an all round beast on a bike.

I’m not sure he’s worried about your opinion..

And don’t forget TDF winner. Though that likely pales in comparison to your palmares.

I’ve always thought of B.W. as a joke!
