Sir Bradley Wiggins will feature in a special episode of 70s comedy Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, to be aired on Sport Relief night on March 18
Comic actor Michael Crawford will reprise his role as Frank Spencer for a special edition of Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, with the clumsy character set for an encounter with Sir Bradley Wiggins.
The special episode, in aid of Sport Relief, will feature reportedly Spencer meeting Wiggins at the London Velodrome, where undoubtedly some kind of mayhem will ensue.
Wiggins told the BBC: “I am a huge fan of Michael so it’s an absolute honour to be asked to be involved alongside such an icon of British television… and all for a great cause.”
The last episode of Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em aired on Christmas Day 1978, since when Crawford has gone on to success in the West End, starring in the Wizard of Oz and the Phantom of the Opera.
The episode will air during Sport Relief Night on BBC One on March 18, starting at 19.00.
