Brian Cookson confirms he will stand for second term as UCI president

UCI president Brian Cookson will stand for a second and final term at the head of cycling's governing body at the next election

Brian Cookson confirmed at the European Cycling Union Annual Congress that he will stand for a second term as UCI president, saying there is still work to be done.

Cookson, who was elected as the head of cycling's governing body in September 2013, told the congress on Sunday that he will seek a second and final term to continue the work he has started over the past two-and-a-half years.
