Mark Cavendish and his Columbia team mates celebrated yet another stage victory after Kanstantsin Siutsou won in Bergamo on Saturday.

Cavendish finished in the main peloton, 19-04 back, but swapped high fives with all his team mates and staff. He rode comfortably in the bunch during the hilly 211km stage, saving his strength for Sunday when it will be his turn to win the flat circuit stage and perhaps give Columbia their third consecutive stage win.

?Winning again shows that what I said at the start of the week (about the strength of the team) was right,? he told Cycling Weekly.

?Winning stages and wearing jerseys with different riders is perfect. As a team, we?re like the three musketeers. All for one and one for all. As long as one of us crosses the line first, that?s all that matters.?

?Kosta (Kanstanstin Siutsou) lives near here and I know he was really focused for this stage. That?s special.?

CAV FOR THE HAT TRICK IN MILAN
Team Columbia is not under pressure to win in Milan after such a successful opening week at the Giro. But Cavendish clearly wants to make up for missing out in Trieste and Valdobbiadene.

He didn?t go into details to perhaps avoid the putting himself under pressure but he hinted that Team Columbia will be gunning for victory in the 165km circuit stage.

?We?ll see. We?ve got a versatile team. We?ll see what happens. We?ve got some special plans for tomorrow?? he said with a smile.

Don?t be surprised to see Cavendish give Columbia a hat trick of victories in Milan.
