Cavendish and Armitstead head star-studded National Championships lineup
A host of WorldTour talent will face off with the best domestic racers in Lincoln on June 28, with the time trials taking place on June 25
Mark Cavendish and Lizzie Armitstead will aim to win back the British Champion's jersey they both relinquished in 2014 when they lineup in the National Championships road race in Lincoln on June 28.
Reigning men's champion Peter Kennaugh will be looking to hold off his rivals to become the first person to retain the title since Roger Hammond in 2004.
Kennaugh will ride alongside Team Sky colleagues Andy Fenn, Luke Rowe, Ian Stannard and Geraint Thomas, while Movistar's Alex Dowsett, Etixx-Quick-Step's Cavendish and the Orica-GreenEdge trio of Adam Blythe, Simon Yates and Adam Yates round out the WorldTour riders.
Russell Downing (Cult-Energy Pro) will be looking to repeat his victory of 2005, with the men who came second and third to him there, Steve Cummings (MTN-Qhubeka) and Yanto Barker (One Pro Cycling) also in the Lincoln field.

In the women's race, defending champion Laura Trott will face a tough test to hold onto the jersey for a second season, with the likes of fellow Olympic medalists Armitstead, Dani King and Joanna Rowsell up against her.
Both the men's and women's time trials will take place over on Thursday, June 25, with Dowsett looking to win back the jersey he held between 2011-13.

The retirement of 2014 champion Emma Pooley means the women's event is an open affair, with Katie Archibald and Dame Sarah Storey hoping to improve on their second and third-place finishes last year.
