CERVELO TEAM SIGNS NEW SPONSOR
The new Cervélo Test Team has announced a further sponsor, in the shape of ZipVit, a supplements and vitamins manufacturer.
ZipVit is the latest addition to the Test Team?s roster of sponsors for 2009. The UK/Swiss supplement specialists have developed a new brand called ?Project ZV?, aimed at the sports nutrition market.
The new Swiss-based team will act as a showcase for Cervélo?s high-end bicycles as well as the sponsor?s products and the riders are expected to possess a detailed knowledge of every product and act as ?salesmen? in this regard.
The riders will participate directly with customers, to make the sport and the riders more accessible to cycling fans.
ZipVit is the latest in a long line of sponsors for the new Cervélo team, including Zipp, Speedplay, Vittoria, 3T, fi?zi:k, Castelli (who will provide the team?s race clothing) and Rotor Bike Components.
The Cervélo team will be under close scrutiny from British cycling fans with Britons Dan Fleeman, Dan Lloyd, Roger Hammond and Jeremy Hunt set to ride alongside 2008 Tour de France winner, Carlos Sastre.
You can read more about how Dan Lloyd got on at the recent Cervélo get-together in Switzerland in this week's Cycling Weekly.
