We take a look at what you can expect to see from Chain Reaction Cycles on Black Friday

If your cycling wardrobe is looking a little tired, then the Chain Reaction Black Friday deals that will be available on the 25 November might be the perfect way to stock up ahead of Christmas and the New Year.

Chain Reaction Black Friday deals: when will they be available?

There might still be a little time to go until Black Friday, but Chain Reaction Cycles already has a page with a countdown to the big day, which we expect will be updated with some pretty eye-catching deals when the time comes.

For the last few years, the best Chain Reaction Black Friday deals have actually started to become available in the weeks running up to the day itself.

For example for Black Friday 2015, Chain Reaction started releasing deals from 5 November, three weeks before the day itself. The company then updated the page on each of the following Thursdays with a whole host of new bargains, before unleashing all of its biggest discounts on the day itself.

If that isn’t enough for you, then the Chain Reaction Black Friday deals should continue to be available throughout the following weekend, with a fresh load of discounts appearing on Cyber Monday a few days later.

Chain Reaction Black Friday deals: what to expect

In 2015, Chain Reaction’s Black Friday deals included a huge selection of bargains on bikes, clothing, and equipment, with discounts of more than 50% not uncommon.

For example, this Easton EA90 SLX wheelset was reduced from £969.99 to £449.99, while a Fizik Arione R7 Mag saddle came down from £89.99 to £39.99, and hasn’t got much more expensive since.

For Black Friday 2016, we’re expecting Chain Reaction Cycles to follow a similar pattern to the deals it put on in 2015, with discounts across the board on wheels, saddles, tyres, clothing, and a whole lot more. There could also be some bargains to be found on cycling gadgets, such as computers from the Garmin Edge range, with electronics a traditional focus of Black Friday buying

Other than that there should be deals everywhere, with Black Friday being the perfect time for picking up bargains on end-of-season 2016 kit that will have you fully kitted out for 2017 with plenty of time to spare.

What is Black Friday?

For consumers and retailers in the UK, Black Friday is a recent phenomenon, but it has been going strong the United States for decades.

Black Friday is the first Friday after Thanksgiving (which in 2016 is 25 November), and is traditionally seen as the start of the Christmas shopping season, with high street retailers opening their doors at the crack of dawn and offering big discounts for shoppers who have set their alarm clocks.

The rise of internet shopping has allowed the Black Friday tradition to spread throughout the world, with the UK’s bike retailers like Wiggle, Chain Reaction, Evans Cycles, and Halfords all getting caught up in the scramble to get shoppers to part with their cash.
