If you own a Colnago, or are thinking about owning a Colnago, then you might be interested in a proposed meet-up with fellow-minded fans of the premier Italian bike brand.

Brian Palmer of the Colnago-obsessed www.thewashingmachinepost.net and www.colnago.cc is in the process of organising a Colnago owners’ meeting sometime in 2010, and wants to gauge the amount of interest in such an event.

“I know, principally from the number of emails I receive regarding Colnago frames and bicycles, that there are a fair few of you out there similarly obsessed with Ernesto’s finest as I am,” says Palmer on www.colnago.cc in his appeal for like-minded fans.

“The downside, at the moment, is that we only really meet up through these black, white and jade green pixels, and it might just be nice to physically bump into each other.”

Sounds like a good idea, and it’s already got the backing of UK Colnago importer Windwave. If you would like to join in the Colnago fun, email owner@colnago.cc and express your interest.

No date or venue for the meet has been arranged as yet.

    Hello,

I recently purchased a Colnago Dream GEO on ebay. I rode a Colnago back in 1984. I rode it 22 miles one way to work and then back again. Seeing this Colnago Dream Geo brought me back to years gone by and just had to have it. Thing is, I don’t know when it was made. How would I find out. It looks brand new. Please help. I’d love to send pictures of it show everyone can enjoy looking at it the way I do. I only get to ride it when I’m on vacation because I work 8,000 miles from my home now and only have my computer wallpaper for daily comfort.

    Please let me know. Thanks

Brilliant idea Mr.Palmer. We have ALL needed a get-together (not just at Bruichladdich) for many years, and at his age Ernesto deserves a place amongst us, or at least a few photographs for our ‘Genius’. I’ve only six frames (plus other Italian frames) and deeply regret my health rationally doesn’t permit using any bike, any road anywhere. Might have to part with same, but don’t let anyone in Colnago know ! Regards to.

What a great idea for bringing together owners of the cycling worlds jewel in the crown bikes. Colnago bikes have always had the Ferrari image and this is proven by the company manufacturing a unique model which is available in limited edition. Please keep me informed when the meeting is confirmed @ http://www.universalcyclecentre.co.uk
