Tour stages

Our stage previews with detailed, official maps give you a flavour of the race and what awaits the riders. Each preview describes the route, terrain and the area it’s in as well as bringing you a little bit of history from the race.

CS Tour teams

22 teams will line up in Yorkshire this July, some of whom will dominate the race while others will take their chances and go for a stage win. The smallest teams will do well just to be competitive throughout the race. With full line-ups yet to be announced, we give you an idea of the team’s approach and who their key riders are likely to be.

Froome contender

Who’s hot, and who’s not. Cycle Sport takes you through the big name riders in the race. From those gunning for GC to the sprinters looking for stage wins. Their form this year, support, strengths and weaknesses, we give you a full run down.

Wiggins in USA-2Bradley Wiggins‘s Tour snub from the team that took him to an historic victory in 2012 is even more sensational after his performance at the Tour of California. His opposition may not have been Tour grade, but he looked lean, focused and hungry. We followed him across the sunshine state and spoke to the locals to see what they made of the very British hero.

Tour beers

We love Yorkshire, we love beer and we love whippets. Here they all are (well, sort of) on one brilliant page. The number of beers being brewed in celebration of the Tour’s visit kept us lubricated for days, so we thought we’d better tell you about them.

New Pinarello-2Will Pinarello’s new aero Dogma be ridden to victory at the Tour de France? Even if it isn’t it’s worth a look. We went for a ride on it with Bernard Eisel in Italy recently and spoke to the Aero engineers at Jaguar about their input.

Thank you, I have now got the magazine. Great preview!

Hi Hugh, Cycle Sport is available in the UK in WHSmiths and many supermarkets. In the US, CS should be in all Barnes and Noble stores, although there is a slight delay in shipping. The Cycle Sport website hasn’t been updated as we’re in the process of rolling it in to this website. That should be done very soon.
