Cycling Time Trials planning more testing after latest doping positive

The organisation responsible for the running of time trials in the UK has expressed its concern at the latest positive doping test.

Cycling Time Trials (CTT) has admitted its concern at the latest positive doping case and confessed that it has no idea how many riders in the amateur scene are using performance-enhancing drugs.

It was announced on Thursday morning that Rob Townsend had tested positive for modafinil at a 100-mile event on September 5, just five weeks after Andrew Hastings also received a four-year ban for testing positive for steroid usage.
