Sir David Brailsford will attend the 2013 Champions of CycleSport dinner, the annual Action Medical Research gala fund-raising event taking place at London’s Hurlingham Club on 28 November.

Brailsford will join a host of cycling stars, including Roger Hammond, Dean Downing, Chris Boardman, Jody Cundy and Jonathan Tiernan-Locke.

“The Champions of CycleSport Dinner is always a great way to round off a successful cycling season,” said Brailsford. “This will be my third year at the event and it gets bigger and better every time. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all that’s great about cycling with a room full of like-minded people while supporting a truly worthwhile cause.”

“I really do respect the work that Action Medical Research does, that is why I’ll be there. The potential to save and change children’s lives through medical research is so important. If in our own little way we can contribute and help youngsters then we’re very proud to be a part of that.”

BBC commentator Simon Brotherton will host a charity auction during the evening where attendees can bid on a number of desirable cycling items, including a VIP hospitality package for two to enjoy the finale of the 2014 Tour de France.

Tables are still available for the event, for more details visit the Action Medical Research Champions of CycleSport web page. Last year the dinner raised £180,000 for Action Medical Research’s work into helping sick children and babies.

This year’s dinner is supported by online retailer Wiggle, with the auction sponsored by Frog bikes.
