The Discovery Channel ProTour team disbanded at the end of the 2007 race season when sponsorship could not be found for 2008. Former Discovery team boss Johan Bruyneel has taken a number of his riders and staff to the newly revamped Astana team. It was announced this week that Trek will sponsor the Astana squad.
