Dan Evans (Team Elite) was crowned British hill climb national champion on Sunday, tackling the gruelling Pea Royd Lane ascent in South Yorkshire in a time of three minutes and 24.2 seconds to beat a full field of riders.
Matt Clinton (Mike Vaughan Cycles) placed second, with Adam Kenway (Team Zenith) in third. Defending 2013 champion Tejvan Pettinger (Sri Chinmoy) was fourth.
Maryka Sennema (Kingston Wheelers) successfully defended her title in the women's category, with Harry Luxton (RuTrainingToday CC) taking the junior title.
