HOY WINS FIRST RACE SINCE BEIJING

Chris Hoy Milan Six

Chris Hoy was back on the track for the first time since the Beijing Olympics this week but still had the speed and power in his legs to win, dominating the Sprinter Cup competition held during the Milan Six-Day.

Hoy competed in a variety of sprint events against Arnaud Tournant of France, Teun Mulder of Holland and local hero Roberto Chiappa. During the three days of sprinting, Hoy was almost always fastest in the 500m time trial that served as a qualification round for the sprint events and then beat Chiappa and Tournant in the head to head sprints.
