HTC-Highroad has released the first official images of its 2011 team kit, a subtle rather than radical re-working of the previous HTC-Columbia jersey of 2010.

The US-based squad had put an embargo in place to prevent the publication of pictures showing the new strip until January 2011, but the team’s own riders leaked images of the kit via micro-blogging site Twitter earlier this week.

The design is based on a white jersey with vertical black, yellow and green stripes running down the left side of the rider’s chest. Lead sponsor HTC’s logo is given prominent position on the chest, with team owner Highroad taking the place of former co-sponsor Columbia beneath.

Several variations of the kit will also be produced to accommodate the various national champions that the team has on its roster, including Irish champion Matt Brammeier with a green version.

HTC-Highroad will makes its WorldTour debut at the Tour Down Under, Australia, in January 2011, where Mark Cavendish will be hoping to give the team its first win of the season.
