Peter Kennaugh (Sky) and Lizzie Armitstead (Boels-Dolmans) were crowned 2015 British Road Race National Champions in two tough editions of the title deciding races in Lincoln on Sunday, June 28.

Kennaugh went into the Elite Men's race as defending champion, and he animated the action from just past the half-way point in the 197.6km race. First, he attacked with Sky team-mate Ian Stannard, as the duo were chased by a group containing Mark Cavendish (Etixx-QuickStep), Luke Rowe (Sky), Scott Thwaites (Bora-Argon 18) and Adam Blythe (Orica-GreenEdge).
