Kristian House to join One Pro Cycling in 2016
As predicted by CW, the former British road race champion will switch to the fledgling British team next season.
Former British road race champion Kristian House will join One Pro Cycling in 2016, the British team announced today.
As predicted by Cycling Weekly last month, the 35-year-old will switch to the fledgling squad after spending eight years with JLT-Condor in its various guises.
One are expected to be granted UCI ProContinental status for next year; House's experience is likely to come in useful when riding the bigger, higher-profile events that moving up a division will entail.
"I'm incredibly excited to join One Pro Cycling in 2016. The team has impressed me on a number of levels in their debut season and I can see that a move there will be a step in the right direction," said House.
"The opportunity to work with head coach Steve Benton has also been a big driver for my decision. I believe he will help me to continue improving as I strive to see how far I can push myself."

One's line-up for next season will also be bolstered by the arrival of Polish rider Karol Domagalski from Raleigh-GAC. The 25-year-old previously spent four years riding at ProConti level with the Spanish Caja Rural outfit, and finished last year's Vuelta a Espana.
“I am very happy and excited about the new contract and being back to ProContinental racing. I know it will not be easy but I have a lot of motivation to train hard and be successful," he said.
One yesterday announced that Marcin Bialoblocki, Chris Opie, Pete Williams, Yanto Barker, Josh Hunt and George Harper have agreed full-time contracts with the team, while Sam Williams and Tom Baylis will be retained on a development programme.
Jon Mould, winner of the Elite Circuit Series, is the most surprising rider not to be retained.
