Perhaps the most beautiful velodrome in the world, probably the most energy efficient, definitely the iconic venue of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Lee Valley Velopark is a shining example of that honourable but difficult aim of 'legacy'.

Ron Webb's final track before retirement is actually modelled on the track at Newport, although as he says in this interview, all tracks are a little different.

A must-visit venue for cycling fans and one that will bring major international cycling competitions to London's east end for many years, including the 2016 UCI Track World Championships.
