LIFEFORCE SUSPEND CYCLING SPONSORSHIP
Lifeforce Immune System Bank has announced today that future sports sponsorship deals are suspended.
In a written press statement, Lifeforce said:
"Previous years have seen Lifeforce commit to significant sponsorships across a diverse range of sporting activities, but most noticeably cycling and motor racing in the belief this would lead to increased sales of its services. However, the Company believes the sponsorship has not yielded expected sales results."
"Since the departure of [former CEO] Mr Del Delaronde we have been contacted by a number of sporting organisations requesting sponsorship and equipment. Lifeforce can only consider requests that are supported by documentary evidence to establish that a contractual arrangement exists."
"Verbal agreements made with Mr Delaronde should be addressed directly to him. Unfortunately we cannot consider any claims that are not adequately documented. Please be aware that Mr Delaronde is no longer an employee, contractor or Director of Lifeforce."
Lifeforce are probably best known in the cycling world as former sponsor of Nicole Cooke's Lifeforce-Raleigh squad and current sponsor of the Cervelo-Lifeforce women's squad lead by US rider Kristin Armstrong. They are also title sponsor of the Ras de Cymru.
Those individuals and sporting club concerned are urged to contact Lifeforce CEO Tim Leeder at Imperial House, Imperial Way, Newport, NP10 8UH, more info can be found at www.immunesystembank.org.
