Man builds world's tallest rideable bike named the "Stoopidtall" (video)

Video shows how American Richie Trimble sets a new Guinness World Record for the world's tallest rideable bike, measuring in at 6.15 metres

Riding bikes is fun. But it doesn't look that fun when you're 20ft off the ground and not in full in control (I imagine).

Yet American Richie Trimble had the metal to ride the 6.15 metre tall working bicycle he built - named the "Stoopidtall" - around a car park in Los Angeles to break a Guinness World Record.

Rules stated that the height had to be measured from the ground to handlebar and that the bike had to be ridden successfully for at least 100 metres.

Such was Trimble's dedication to welding his steely velo-giant together, he even forgot Christmas the poor sod, but managed to pull it all together in time for his record on Boxing Day 2013.

He did it, apparently stealing the record from some Canadians (as he mentions in the video), but the sound of his heartbeat, which is highlighted just before he begins the ride, pretty much speaks volumes about how nerve racking that first ride was.
