Mark Cavendish confirmed to race the Tour de Suisse
Cavendish is part of a strong Etixx-Quick-Step line-up which will roll out in Switzerland this weekend
Mark Cavendish has been confirmed as part of Etixx-Quick-Step's line-up for the Tour de Suisse, which starts on June 13.
The Manxman will travel to Switzerland on the back of an impressive showing at the Tour of California, where he picked up four stages on his way to victory in the points classification.
Tony Martin, however, who won both of last year's individual time trials and held the overall lead until the final day, is currently at the Critérium du Dauphiné, and will not take the start line in Risch-Rotkreuz.
In Martin's absence, it will fall to Cavendish and Michal Kwiatkowski to fly the flag for the team.

Kwiatkowski will be returning to action following a seven-week break after a promising start to his season, which culminated in victory in the Amstel Gold Race.
Cavendish, meanwhile, has enjoyed a solid season of his own so far, sitting second only to Alexander Kristoff in terms of number of wins in 2015, with 13 to the Norwegian's 16.
