Union Cycliste Internationale president Pat McQuaid will be featured on tonight’s edition of Inside Sport, presented by Gabby Logan, on BBC1.

McQuaid is there to talk about the UCI’s anti-doping measures and how the organisation is setting about fighting doping in cycling. His interview is part of a larger feature looking at the UCI’s response to doping scandals in the Tour de France.

During the interview, McQuaid states that he would like to see a lifetime ban introduced for any athletes who are caught using banned substances, underlining the UCI’s zero tolerance stance on doping.

Britain’s Roger Hammond and Mark Cavendish of the T-Mobile team were also interviewed for the feature, along with team boss Bob Stapleton, at the Tour of Britain last week.

Inside Sport is on BBC1 tonight (Monday, September 17) at 11.15pm.
