After enjoying a successful debut season, Madison Genesis have strengthened for 2014 by signing seven new riders.

Former Garmin-Sharp stagiaire Tom Scully, Tom Stewart and Matt Holmes have joined Roger Hammond’s team from Raleigh, while Irishman Pete Hawkins makes the switch from IG-Sigma Sport.

GP of Wales winner Mike Northey and Tobyn Horton are also added to the roster, as is promising young rider Scott Davies. Davies won this year’s Junior Tour of Wales, and finished an impressive seventh in the Junior World Road Race Championships in Florence.

2011 Premier Calendar winner Ian Bibby and former world team pursuit champion Andy Tennant are among the six riders retained from this season.

“I am sure the new riders will not only strengthen the core of the team, but also, more importantly, increase the versatility of the team enabling us to be more competitive throughout the ever-diversifying road race calendar. I can’t wait to get started,” said Hammond.
