In the August 16 issue of Cycling Weekly magazine you?ll find our annual head-to-head test involving six of the best race bikes of 2007.

This year’s edition of our ‘Race Bike of the Year’ grouptest comprises of a short technical write-up on each frame and the technology involved in its creation, a discussion of how each bike rides plus a look at any other elements that the bike has on board.

As ever we?ve got a fine selection of photography which we hope will inspire you to get out on your bike as well as showing these gorgeous race machines at their very best.

With space for just six machines it was a tough selection. In the end we included the carbon and alloy Cannondale System Six, the controversial Scott Addict R3, the world?s biggest manufacturer, Giant, gave us the TCR Advanced Zero, while Italy?s Kuota delivered the KOM. Look lent us a 595 and old-school manufacturer Colnago the new Extreme Power. All go head to head.

Cycling Weekly Race Bike of the Year special issue goes on sale on Thursday, August 16, from WHSmith and all good newsagents, priced £2.40.
