Rapha Condor JLT's Richard Handley wins stage two of Tour of Korea from escape group

Richard Handley (Rapha Condor JLT) won stage two of the Tour of Korea from an escape group to take the overall race lead.

Handley relieved overnight leader Grega Bole (Vini Fantini) of the yellow jersey after the British rider and Korean pro Sung Baek Park (KSPO) managed to keep away from the chasing pack. Handley out-paced his fellow escapee in the finale to take the victory.

Handley now leads Bole by 34 seconds overall in the UCI 2.1-ranked race. Neil Van Der Ploeg (Avanti) is third at 42 seconds.

Last year’s Tour of Korea was won by Handley’s Rapha Condor team-mate Mike Cuming.

The eight-stage race concludes on Sunday June 15.
