Team manager to give press conference? Doesn’t sound like a great news headline, but in the wake of today’s (Thursday) revelations from the T-Mobile press conference in Bonn, the news that Bjarne Riis is to entertain journalists in Denmark tomorrow is big news.

Riis is the out-spoken team manager of ProTour squad CSC, but more of interest is that he won the Tour de France for Telekom (the forerunner of T-Mobile) in 1996. Five of his team-mates from that year have now admitted to taking EPO, and another, Jan Ullrich, was implicated in Operacion Puerto.

Nothing has been announced pertaining to the contents of tomorrow’s press conference.
