Luke Rowe finished second overall and Erick Rowsell was third in the Tour du Pays de Vaud junior stage race in Switzerland.

The four-day race in the Lausanne region finished on Sunday with a 117-kilometre road stage and both Rowe and Rowsell finished safely in the bunch, which was three seconds behind stage winner Jan Hirt of the Czech Republic.

Overall winner Moreno Moser of Italy is the nephew of the legendary Francesco Moser.

Rowe finished just two seconds behind the Italian, with Rowsell third at 23 seconds. The other British finishers were Mark Christian in 18th place and Chris Whorrall, who was 92nd.
