Italian cycling shoe specialist SiDi has just released the latest version of its top-end road shoe onto the British market – the Ergo 3.

The Ergo 3 features a new version of SiDi’s Vent Carbon sole, which the company says has been completely re-designed since the Ergo 2. The sole now features a closeable vent at the front, and is a claimed 38g lighter than the previous Carbon Lite sole despite being stiffer.

Other improved features of the latest incarnation of the Ergo include a re-designed heel retention system to improve comfort and fit and a metallic-finish to the Vernice leather upper material, which is water-resistant and breathable.

The Ergo 3′s closure mechanism uses an upper ratcheted Tecno II strap accompanied by monofilament line to ensure a snug fit that doesn’t work its way loose during riding. A lower Velcro strap finishes things off.

Several parts of the shoe are replaceable should they become worn, including the closure system and heel cup.

The Ergo 3 is available in sizes 38-48, including half sizes and is available in the following colours: black Vernice, white/black/red Vernice, white/blue cream Vernice, red Vernice, white Vernice, white/cream/red Vernice,white/green/cream Vernice. SRP is £329.99.
