Sir Chris Hoy helps launch Evans Cycles Christmas campaign

We all remember the moment we received our first bike and the Evans Cycles 2014 Christmas campaign hopes to recreate that feeling for children across the country.

The retailer have drafted in some expert help to kick off the campaign, with Sir Chris Hoy appearing as Father Chris-tmas in the launch video.

In the clip, Hoy can be seen sitting in front of the fire, wrapping a present using his penny-farthing tape dispenser as we are told that Father Chris is the man to ask if you want a “proper bike” for Christmas.

The #FatherChris campaign offers the chance for children to submit letters or pictures, with prizes for the best ones each week and the overall winner receiving an early present from Evans on Christmas Eve.

Hoy is promoting the ‘Real Bikes For Real Riders’ campaign, aimed at getting children riding in ‘real riding’ grown-up situations on bikes that enable them to get the most enjoyment from their riding.

Entries to the competition can be submitted on the Evans Cycles Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages or in one of the golden post boxes in each store.
